After Wags’ court battle, Rebekah in new row.. over horse manure
SHE’S faced a heap of muck slinging since becoming embroiled in the row dubbed the Wagatha Christie case.
And now Rebekah Vardy is facing a fresh stinker... in a dispute over how she gets rid of her horse manure.
After locking horns with fellow footballer’s wife Coleen Rooney, Rebekah, who is married to Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, is now pitched against her local council over a planning application to build luxury stables.
Town hall officials have delayed her building plans after raising concerns over how Rebekah, 40, will cope with all the waste created by her animals.
Rebekah and Jamie, 35, bought the Grade II listed property in a quaint Lincolnshire village for
£2.5million in 2016 and have extended it, despite grumbling by locals.
The luxury stables would feature a grand entrance archway topped by a clock, leading to a yard flanked by four stables, a tack and tea room, a horse washing area and paddock.

District Council’s environmental protection team has ordered the couple to “make provision for storage and removal of horse manure from the equestrian activities”.
It means they must go back to the local authority with fresh plans for getting rid of the horse muck.
Rebekah is a keen horse rider and regularly posts photos of herself and her animals on social media.
The couple’s mansion has more than 10 bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. Between them, Rebekah and Jamie have six children.
The council setback follows a messy couple of years for I’m A Celebrity star Rebekah after she sued Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen for libel. The row began when Coleen, 36, publicly accused Rebekah of selling stories about her and ex-england star Wayne, 36, and claimed to have caught her out using a sting on Instagram.
Rebekah denies any wrongdoing and is still awaiting a verdict from a High Court judge following the court case in May.
Meanwhile, it was reported this week that Rebekah and her children were on holiday in Portugal when wildfires started nearby.
Jamie is back at Leicester City for pre-season training ahead of the Premier League kick-off next month.
