Her boy William, 17, finally got the kidney transplant he needed.

It has been a long battle for Amy, William and their family.

Initially, doctors decided his autism made the op too difficult. But the family kept fighting –and now he has a chance at recovery.

There’s a long way to go but with the support and love of his family and the expertise of the NHS, William can do it. “He’s a fighter,” said Amy.
