Cops sold a dummy

POLICE probing reports of a body being put in a car found it was a dummy.

A motorist thought they saw a couple shoving a man into a boot on the A48 in Blakeney, Gloucs.

Officers issued an appeal and others called to say they had seen the same thing.

But it turned out to be a water rescue manikin used for training after a firm that makes them, Extreme Solutions, got in touch.

One person posted of the drama: “Can’t be too careful, but it is funny.”
