Mum’s DIY car sleuth

A WOMAN who turned detective to find her dad’s stolen car tracked it down using social media.

Becky Harrington, 32, was frustrated after police failed to trace it in July, so she posted in online groups and trawled CCTV – and found it four miles away.

The mum of two, from Bournemouth, said: “I’m pretty savvy with social media so I put it in 45 groups.”

Police are still trying to identify the offenders.

Becky now plans to study criminology and law, and added: “Other people have contacted me for help.”
