IT MAY GO TO POTT

-

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION have prospered by being one step ahead of the opposition.

But they will need to produce another ace from up their sleeve very shortly.

With each passing scalp and landmark – last season the Seagulls recorded their highest finish in the Premier League and a few days ago won a fixture at Old Trafford for the first time – the chances increase that boss Graham Potter (above) will be targeted.

The club’s hierarchy made plans to replace Yves Bissouma long before he departed for Spurs. Marc Cucurella’s late defection to Chelsea also won’t have fazed them one bit.

But Potter’s the man in charge. Last year, I wrote that he is the natural successor to England boss Gareth Southgate. That is unless one of the big boys spies him first.

If past performance is anything to go by, then you can be sure Brighton are reading the room right now for his replacement.
