MOISES TO JOIN THE EXODUS?
MOISES CAICEDO could be the next budding star to leave
Brighton.
The defensive Ecuador midfielder was excellent in the Seagulls’ 2-1 victory over Manchester United last Sunday. His all-round form means he might follow
Marc Cucurella
and Yves Bissouma out of the Amex exit.
United, Arsenal and West Ham have been keeping tabs on Caicedo’s progress in England, while overseas heavyweights including Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen are also monitoring him.
Brighton landed Caicedo from Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle in February 2021 for just £4.5million and he established himself in the first team during the second half of last season.
Getting him out of Brighton will not be easy given they do not need to sell, having already let Marc Cucurella join Chelsea for £60m and Bissouma to Spurs for £30m.
The 20-year-old started the last eight Premier League games of the campaign and scored his first goal in the top flight in the stunning 4-0 victory over United in May.
The youngster is expected to be a key man for Ecuador at the World Cup and is benefiting greatly from the work Graham Potter is doing with him on the south coast.
