Rishi’s got Gove vote

TORY heavyweight Michael Gove yesterday stepped back from frontline politics – and backed Rishi Sunak for PM.

The former Levelling Up Secretary – sacked by Boris Johnson – took a swipe at rival Liz Truss, declaring: “I am deeply concerned that the framing of the leadership debate by many has been a holiday from reality.”

Mr Gove added: “I do not expect to be in government again. But it was the privilege of my life to spend 11 years in Cabinet.”
