No list gift for Chiles
GRUMPY TV presenter Adrian Chiles wants guests to take presents from his wedding rather than give them, he has revealed.
The Brummie broadcaster, who is marrying Guardian editor Katharine Viner, said he hated gifts.
The 55-year-old, who is divorced from former Radio 4 Woman’s Hour presenter Jane Garvey, said: “I’m sick of stuff.
“What I thought about doing was instead of a wedding list giving a list of things I want to get rid of.
“And everybody who comes to the wedding has got to take one.”
The ex-one Show host added: “My most hated possession is a trouser press my mum and dad gave me.
“I’ve used it about three times. I want rid of it but nobody will have it.”
