104 CLAIMS ON DIANA PROBED
A RETIRED policeman has revealed he looked at 104 theories about Princess Diana’s death – and disproved every one of them.
Dave Douglas led the Operation Paget investigation into conspiracy claims over the 1997 Paris car crash.
Many accusations were aimed at the Royal Family, including suggestions Prince
Philip and Diana’s former husband Prince Charles were involved. Others blamed MI6, MI5 and the SAS. But Dave, 65, concluded her death was a “tragic accident”.
Now a private security consultant, he told a TV documentary: “People need reasons for things to happen. Conspiracies are sexier.”
Dave interviewed Prince Charles at St James’s Palace, which he said was “weird”.
