Sex wishes so far apart

AS some of you may remember, I used to be an Agony Aunt, offering the nation my worldly advice about their sex lives.

It was always eye-opening, particularly when people shared their secret fantasies or when readers – usually women – talked about things they wished their partners would do in bed. “Communication is key,” I’d reply. “Talk to your other half… you’ll be amazed at how thrilled he is to get the chance to fulfil your deepest desires.”

A decade on, a relationship website has been asking Brits to reveal their top ten “sexual highs”

And, conscious of my former role, I was intrigued to discover what men and women find most desirable these days

For women it’s apparently “reaching orgasm at the same time as my partner”, making love on freshly laundered sheets and having sex on Valentine’s Day.

As for the blokes? First time sex with a new partner, sex with a sexy stranger and “sex with an ex I still fancy”.

And the relationship expert behind the poll says: “These new findings show just how far apart men and women are in the pursuit of sexual happiness.”
