A hall of a lot of Lego
A MAN built a Lego scale model of one of England’s finest stately homes after being dragged there by his parents as a child.
Dave Shaw spent three months building Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire, an Elizabethan mansion built in the Renaissance style.
Dave, 53, of Mansfield, Notts, said: “Hardwick has a lot of glass, I hadn’t realised until I got into it, so lots of window bricks had to be purchased.
“The architecture is unusual and that was the challenge for building in Lego.”
The build is featured on Lego’s Ideas website where builders can showcase their most impressive creations.
But Dave said his Hardwick Hall will not last four centuries like the original – he plans to break it up to build Chatsworth House.
