BUST-UP’S A BELTER!

I LOVED the bust-up between Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte (above) – it was a battle royale, really spiteful, and a throwback to the run-ins we used to see between Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho and Wenger, and, on the pitch, Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira.

It fell in line with the feisty tradition of English football and I’m so pleased the only touchline ban handed out for the episode was a suspended one to Tuchel.

I’d have welcomed from the off both getting away with being told to apologise in their post-match press conferences and move on.
