Everton 1 Nottingham F1
FRANK LAMPARD’S blushes were spared by Demarai Gray – ensuring Everton avoided an unwanted piece of history.
Gray salvaged a point in the 88th minute against newly-promoted Nottingham Forest as the Toffees’ winless start to the new Premier League season continued.
Brennan Johnson looked to have condemned Everton to a third defeat in their opening three games for the first time in the Premier League.
Not since 1990 have the Toffees endured such a poor start before Gray pounced at a restless Goodison.
Gray said: “Nobody is fully happy with a point. But if we keep playing like that, we will win games.”
