KEVIN BETSY felt the Crawley fans’ reaction at full-time was “a bit harsh”. Nathan Youngcoombes and Ethan Chislett condemned Crawley, who had Tony Craig sent off, to a fourth defeat in five league games.

Betsy said: “We just need a bit of time.”

PAUL HURST thought the dour draw was “one of the worst games I’ve ever seen”. The Grimsby boss added: “Near enough everything was really poor.”

Sutton manager Matt Gray said: “I was pleased with the performance.”
