The only issue? Her husband isn’t sn’t actu actually With dead. “He deserves to be,” she grins. now one week left before execution, Grieff has a murder to plan.

Surely this is a dead cert for a a second series?

TRUE crime provides a never-ending ★ pot of mini-series ideas, with all of us hooked on grisly details of real evil. A Friend of the Family, streaming on Peacock channel and NOW from Friday, is the latest bizarre real story to binge, the tale of the American Broberg family.

Set in Idaho in the 1970s, it follows how the perfect Mormon ‘Brady bunch’ clan were manipulated and groomed by their sociopathic family friend. The Brobergs became extremely close to Robert

Berchtold and his family, with the dad becoming obsessed with their 12-yearold daughter Jan (Hendrix Yancey, pictured) and kidnapping her twice.

“It may seem unbelievable, but we lived in a different world back then,” says victim (and producer) Jan Broberg. Colin Hanks, Anna Paquin and a brilliantly terrifying Jake Lacy star in the drama, a strange story of blackmail, drugs and even alien invasion. Disturbing but gripping, you have to see it to believe it.
