Eustace calls on USA to put their Trusty in Auston

- BIRMINGHAM Trusty 3, 43, Sanderson 75 BRISTOL CITY By JOHN WRAGG

BRISTOL CITY boss Nigel Pearson slammed his “invisible players” after this shocking defeat.

The Robins have now conceded 16 goals in away games this season, the second worst record in the country behind Leicester.

All three Birmingham goals came from set-pieces with American defender Auston Trusty scoring two, his first goals in English football.

Fellow defender Dion

Sanderson got the third with Trusty again involved as Birmingham strode to only their second home win of the season.

Robins chief Pearson said: “What went right? Nothing. It was a very poor performance. Too many individual performances way, way off.

“What disappointed me most was that there were some players out there who were invisible.”

Trusty, on loan from Arsenal for the season, went up for a corner and a free-kick and twice destroyed poor Bristol.

Birmingham boss John Eustace reckons it’s not too late for Trusty to make the USA World Cup squad.

And he has called for

American boss Gregg Berhalter to come and watch him.

“I have spoken to the US manager and told him how well Trusty is doing,” said Eustace.

“They have watched a couple of games on video but I have told him they need to come and watch Trusty play.”
