BGT’S Bruno: I’d love to be a baddie on the cobbles
BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Bruno Tonioli has told how he’d love a part in Corrie
– as an Italian mobster.
The 61-year-old, who made his debut on the ITV talent show this year, revealed his ambitions to tread the Corrie cobbles after visiting the set during a break from filming in Manchester.
Former Strictly judge Bruno said he would relish the chance to play a baddie, like Happy Valley’s Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton).
He said: “Would I join the cobbles? Listen, you never know! They need a bit of exoticism on Corrie.
“I could strut in and play a member of the mafia… a little bit like Happy Valley but in Weatherfield.
Chaos
“I could be a bad boy like that Tommy character – I’d love to play a real baddie. Oh, I could do that very well.
“If it’s a mafioso or a gangster or an evil menace, I could change my voice… make it really deep and scary. I would do it.”
Bruno has caused chaos on the set of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent after joining the panel without ever watching an episode.
And while he and Simon Cowell have become partners in crime, he admitted that their partnership is far more dangerous for him than for boss Simon.
“We’re chaos together,” Bruno said. “There’s no stopping us.
“Obviously we have been told off. They can sack me, but they can’t sack him so he’s all right!
“But honestly, I think everyone is just embracing the chaos this year.
“We’ve chucked the non-existent rule book out the window – and why not? Rules are there to be broken, right?”
Britain’s Got Talent is on ITV tonight at 7.45pm
