Lewis and Calvin in need of Miracle

Scottish rivals Capaldi and Harris search for missing song One is Scotland’s biggest export, the other is Scotland’s biggest waistline (Lewis Capaldi’s words, not ours).

Now he and Calvin Harris have put their chart rivalry aside by getting into the studio to make the ultimate pop banger.

We can reveal the pair – who currently hold No.1 and No.3 in the singles chart – have recorded a song… but it’s yet to see the light of day because Glaswegian Lewis can’t find the recording.

Calvin reveals: “We made a tune together two years ago and then something happened to it. He put it on his laptop and then lost it or something.

“He’s a great lad and even though we’re not best friends or anything like that, it’s always nice to see a Scottish lad doing well.”

Last week, Lew’s new tune Wish You The Best knocked Miracle – Calvin’s collaboration with Ellie Goulding – off the top spot, but Calvin reclaimed it on Friday.

Lewis has joined some of the biggest names in UK chart history, such as David Bowie,

Cheryl and The Bee Gees, to have five No.1 hit singles – but he still has some way to go to equal Calvin’s 11 chart toppers. The pair’s chart rivalry dates back to 2019, when then-newcomer Lewis went head-to-head with the Dumfries DJ in his first chart battle, and won – securing his first ever No.1 with Someone You Loved.

Since then the pair – who have joined the starstudded line-up for Capital’s Summertime

Ball with Barclaycard in June – have matched each other in other ways, finding equal success in their love lives.

Calvin is happily engaged to Radio 1 DJ Vick Hope, while Lewis has found love with actress

Ellie Macdowall.

Opening up about how his new romance is blossoming, Lewis told Heart Breakfast this week: “I guess it takes a couple of things to be happy in this world.

“You need love, you need health, you need self-love – love within one’s self – and also a large appendage. And one of those things I do not possess.” That’s called oversharing, Lewis…
