The You Only Love Me singer, who married film director Taika last year, described her third album You and I as a “full-blown love story”.

And while she threw herself into making the record – released this week – Rita told how she always made time for her husband after learning that lesson from her parents. In an exclusive chat, Rita said of Taika: “I’ve never met someone who is so supportive of my work the way he has been.

“He loves all the songs on the album, including coming and and I, has been a long time third studio album, You than 2018’s it as more “unpolished” while she might have described I is a heady whirl of a pop polished to us. You and

“I don’t feel like there’s a lot to hide behind, I recorded it the day after we got married and it’s my perfect wedding song.”

Rita, who released debut album Ora aged 21 in 2012, then Phoenix in 2018, admitted she was a workaholic – a trait she inherited from her Albanian parents.

“I think my work ethic comes from my upbringing, it’s something my parents instilled in me,” she said.

“They always said that as an immigrant, I would have to work twice as hard to achieve my dreams.
