Traitor Harry has promised me a holiday
How tearful pal was Mollie-fied
THE Traitors runner-up Mollie Pearce says she has forgiven Harry Clark for tricking her – and he has promised her a holiday to make up for his deceit.
Almost seven million viewers saw Harry walk away with the show’s £95,000 prize pot on Friday after admitting to Mollie that he had been a Traitor from the start. The pair grew close during the 12-episode series, making Harry’s treachery hard to swallow. Mollie, 21, was seen swearing and leaving the room, while Harry, 22, was left to celebrate with host Claudia Winkleman. But Mollie later told the BBC’S Breakfast show: “We saw each other soon after and he promised me a holiday so I’m pretty happy with that. We’re fine.” In an interview hours after the tension-laden finale, Mollie – who is a disability model – said: “Finding out anyone has lied to you is difficult, but that’s the name of the game. The money was never mine.
Harry played a really good game. I was led by my emotions, which probably isn’t best.
“But I would never have been able to forgive myself if he’d been a Faithful and I’d been the reason he was banished.”
Viewers had been on tenterhooks as third finalist Jaz Singh accused Harry of being a Traitor and won Mollie over – but she then changed her mind to back her friend. Furious fans were quick to demand “justice for Jaz” online and Mollie admitted the backlash had been “rough”. But she added: “I’m kind of trying to stay off socials a little bit.
“I think it’s very easy for the public to say I was stupid but at the end of the day, I’m 21 and I’ve got emotions. I think people forget that you’re human when they’re watching it on TV.”
Army engineer Harry said lying to Mollie had been really tough. He said of his pal after the finale: “Mollie asked to see me and I thought she was going to kill me, but she gave me a hug.
“The plan is to go on holiday to Bali or Thailand and take Mollie and her boyfriend with me and my other half.”
