Privacy concerns over private picture messages
SPY chiefs have REFUSED to say whether or not they have intercepted intimate sexy snaps people send on their mobiles.
The craze for taking X- rated pictures of yourself and sending them to a partner has grown massively as sales of smartphones rocket.
But earlier this month it was alleged that government listening station GCHQ has had secret access to people’s private online information.
The spooks are said to have been allowed access to data mined by the USA’s shadowy National Security Agency’s Prism software, which collects people’s communication records in bulk.
Prism also enabled backdoor access to the servers of nine major technology firms including Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube and Apple.
All the firms named have denied their involvement and it is unknown how Prism actually works. And Foreign Secretary William Hague ( left) has tried to calm public fears about snooping.
But Tory MP David Davis said it showed the intelligence services had “much more information than they used to have… namely our most intimate traffic”.
GCHQ, which is based in Chelternham, Glos, issued a statement earlier last week saying it operated within “a strict legal and policy framework”.
When Sunday Sport asked specifically about access to the public’s intimate photographs, a spokesman said they had “nothing to add to our statement”. WHEN I visit the gym I usually go for a red- hot sauna after my workout.
