WENG’S SCHNEIDY DEAL

ARSENE WENGER is likely to ramp up his summer spending by bringing Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to Arsenal.

The Gunners boss is already confident of smashing the club’s transfer record on Gonzalo Higuain and Marouane Felliani.

A £ 22million deal for Real Madrid forward Higuain is edging closer and Felliani is on his way for a similar sum.

Wenger is also a big fan of Schneiderlin, who would cost £ 10m.

Saints signed the 23- year- old Frenchman from Strasbourg – Wenger’s old club as a player – for just over £ 1m in 2008.

Schneiderlin ( left) formed a good partnership in midfield with Jack Cork and Arsenal’s gaffer wants him to do the same at the Emirates alongside Mikel Arteta.
