ROBBO’S IN

-

BELIEF: Chris Ramsey QPR boss Chris Ramsey is backing his team to rip up the form book and avoid relegation.

The Hoops have lost their last four Premier League games to sit in 19th spot – four points adrift of safety with nine games remaining.

QPR have not tasted victory since a 2- 0 win at Sunderland on February 10 and have the worst defence in the top flight with 52 goals conceded.

“I still think we can get the points that we need,” insisted Ramsey.

“If we stop believing that we can stay up now, then the whole season has been a wash.

“We must maintain the grit and determination we have shown in our past few games.”

Four of Rangers’ nine remaining league games are at Loftus Road, including today’s clash against Everton.

QPR have picked up 19 of their 22 points at home.

“We are aware that we are running out of time and out of games,” said Ramsey.

Silly

“Apart from the Crystal Palace game last week, the performances have been good.

“We have been unlucky in certain games.

“We just have to make sure that we don’t give away silly goals like we have done and that we stay together.

“We have to go out against Everton and give our best.”

Everton will treat their final nine games of the season like “finals” as manager Roberto Martinez looks to swiftly put the team’s Europa League exit behind them.

The Spaniard stressed the importance of a strong finish to ensure the Toffees steer clear of the relegation scrap.

“It simplifies the objective now of being fully focused on the nine games that we have,” said Martinez.

“We see these nine games as nine finals. We want to get as many points as we can and we need to perform in every game.” BRY PRAISE: Man United legend Bryan Robson ( left inset) reckons
