Snoring pal dies after being put out in cold

- By BECCA STUBBS becca@ sundaysport. co. uk

TWO men are facing manslaughter charges after they stripped their drunken friend naked and left him outside in the cold for the night because he was SNORING loudly.

It was apparently a joke but it went tragically wrong for two friends, aged 28 and 35, who were drinking in an apartment with two other friends and the 35- year- old victim.

“The victim, who had drunk more than the others, suddenly fell into a deep and unconscious sleep,” a judicial source said

The four friends then stripped the man naked in what they’ve since claimed was an attempt to stop him from trying to drive home drunk when he awoke, the source said.

They also reportedly drew on his face “for laughs”.

Two of the guests later left and it was at this point that the remaining pair became “annoyed” by the snoring of the sleeping man and took him outside naked.

The man’s lifeless body was found the next day in SeineSaint- Denis, in Paris.

It is thought that temperatures in the area dipped as low as 3C overnight. THE BBC are set to replace The Great British Bake Off with ROBOTS.

Bosses are working on a brand new concept where space- age droids will bake sponges and struggle with soggy bottoms.

And they hope the new show will make up for them losing Bake Off. BAKE OFF WITH BOTS: Cooking robots are set for baking stardom

The world of telly was rocked to its foundations earlier this year when Channel Four sensationally poached the flagship cooking programme.

In the fallout, presenters Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc and judge Mary Berry announced they would not be moving to C4 – leaving Paul Hollywood to enjoy a bumper pay rise. Now Sunday Sport can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that the Beeb are using high- tech to hit back at their commercial rivals.

One TV insider said the new show “sounded like Bake Off meets Robot Wars” adding: “Marrying two of the most popular TV shows in this way is hugely innovative and looks set to be a real ratings triumph.

Gravy

“But on the other hand, it could be a massive blunder – like mixing marzipan and gravy and expecting to get a soufflé.”

News of the new show leaked when two loose- lipped BBC staffers were overheard discussing it near their Salford HQ.

One of the BBC honchos brayed: “I’m very, very excited about this new robot cookery show. It’ll be like Bake Off… but with ’ bots!”

Keen to keep their pet project under wraps, the BBC last night REFUSED to confirm the show was in the pipeline.

A BBC spokesperson snippily demanded to know how Sunday Sport knew about the secret plans, asking: “Where have you heard that..?”

It is not yet known whether Bake Off hosts Mary Berry, 81, Mel Giedroyc, 48, and Sue Perkins, 47, will feature in the robotic reboot.
