Mayor opens city’s brothel

A NEW brothel run by sex workers in Amsterdam’s red light district has been opened – by the city’s MAYOR!

The initiative is part of a long- standing plan by hookers and city officials to improve working conditions for sex workers and rid the country’s sex industry of organised crime.

It allows them to work independently without having to hand their earnings to unscrupulous pimps.

Due to the involvement of mayor Eberhard van der Laan in getting the project off the ground, the Dutch have dubbed it the “municipal brothel”.

Spread across four buildings, roughly 40 sex workers will be able to offer their services from the premises, up to 14 of whom can occupy “windows” at one time.
