LAST week the Daily Mail columnist Dominic Lawson ranted about the “filthiest and most disgusting personal attacks” on social media.

And he had a valid point about anonymous lowlives lurking in cyberspace.

But he could have found plenty of “filthy and disgusting” material much closer to home – on his own newspaper’s website.

Because on the very same day he was raging against social media, perverts cowering behind pseudonyms were vomiting obscene filth over fragrant Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid.

The online version of the Daily Mail had published remarks by 47- year- old Susanna in which she talked about wanting to start dating again.

This marked “open season” for some of the Mail’s readers. One, called “Sir Humpalot” suggested she was “keen on BBC” – BBC is sex talk for “big black cock”.

Another suggested Ms Reid liked to be “airtight” – a porn term describing when a porno actress has her mouth, vagina and anus filled simultaneously.

Yet another, “vectraturbo” said Susanna “love c o,, ck” – the bizarre punctuation designed to baffled the Mail’s crude anti- filth defences.

One former Mail reader said: “It used to be a respectable paper but now the comments section of its website is crammed with filth. They must clamp down to rescue their reputation.” TARGET: Susanna was hit by Mail readers’ filth
