Fatal deer disease to turn us all zombies

MEDICS fear that a fatal disease that turns victims into ZOMBIES may be spread by Britain’s herds of wild DEER!

Chronic Wasting Disease, which is described as a progressive, fatal disease that affects the brain, spinal cord and other tissues of deer, has been documented across the United States, the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention said.

And it will only be a matter of time before it comes here, experts fear.

The disease, which can take years for symptoms to appear after infection, is believed to spread through bodily fluids like faeces, saliva, blood, or urine, by both direct and indirect contact. There are no treatments or vaccines.

The symptoms, which have been compared to those of zombies, may include drastic weight loss, stumbling, lack of coordination, drooling, excessive thirst, lack of fear and aggression.

Minnesota University’s Michael Osterholm said: “It is probable human cases of CWD associated with the consumption of meat will be documented in the years ahead.”
