CHARLIE McCANN
WITH ALL HIS BEST SPORTING BETS
TWO Premier League games to look forward to this afternoon beginning with the visit of Leicester City to the Hawthorns to meet newly promoted West Bromwich Albion.
Leicester finished fifth in the Premier League last season but spent 325 days inside the top four in the table and faded alarmingly after project restart.
The Foxes have long term injuries to contend and skipper Jonny Evans misses the game having been sent off in the final game of campaign against Manchester United back in July.
Premium
The Baggies will struggle to score goals this term, but I feel this Leicester side lacks creativity with James Maddison still side- lined.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are Evens at Unibet with the Baggies 3s at BetVictor and the draw a best- priced 27/ 10 at Betfair.
I feel goals will be at a premium and under 2.5 goals at 10/ 11 with bet365 is the recommendation.
Spurs entertain Everton in the late kick- off and these two sides played out one of the bores of last season when they met at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium post lockdown although the hosts didn’t mind as they picked up maximum points courtesy of a 1- 0 win.
It will be interesting to see if Carlo Ancelotti starts any of his new signings Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez.
Th e
Blues cert a i n l y need the energy and aggression of their new A
Team in midfield, but I wonder if
Ancelotti will pitch them both in this afternoon.
This is very much last chance saloon for the Colomb i an
Rodriguez who is blessed with a rare talent but has never been the most consistent of animals.
Everton are not good enough to have a luxury player in their ranks and the jury is out, certainly in this quarter, as to whether his signing will be a success.
Spurs are likely to have both of their new acquisitions Matt Doherty and Pierre- Emile Hojbjerg – who Everton were interested in – in their starting XI’s. Jose Mourinho’s team finished sixth in the Premier League last season and that maintained their run of 11 success i v e campaigns with a topsix finish.
They only kept eight AGAIN: Pulisic
clean sheets last term, but one was against the Blues and I fear the hosts will edge what is likely to be an informative game.
Spurs are 19/ 20 with Unibet to make a winning start to the campaign with Everton 10/ 3 at William Hill and the draw at 13/ 5.
Mourinho’s side are 7/ 2 to end the season in the top four with Ancelotti’s Everton 5/ 1 with Betway in the top six. Neither look attractive.
Two games tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing this new look Chelsea side at Brighton.
Injury
It will be interesting to see who Frank Lampard starts with at the Amex with Timo Werner and Kai Havertz likely to go straight into the starting XI although Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell are injured and will not be available.
Christian Pulisic has recovered from the hamstring injury he injury he sustained in the FA Cup Final defeat to Arsenal and will be available. His return is a huge boost.
Chelsea are 11/ 1 with Hills to win the title and a bestpriced 4/ 6 with Boylesports to win tomorrow night with the Baggies 17/ 4 and the draw at 10/ 3.
Both teams to score is 4/ 5 with bet365 and that is the recFIT ommendation.
