JUST SAY NO: James’s wife wanted us to publish this photo of her hubby smoking H in a bid to get him off the killer drug

A CABBIE has turned to SMOKING HEROIN as he was so disappointed with the lame ending of hit drama Line of Duty.

James Claughton, 43, has been an avid fan of the telly show about police corruption since it began in 2012.

And he’s so dedicated, he’s filled countless binders with notes and theories about the BBC programme’s plotlines and who the mysterious “H” character would turn out to be.

James, who’s been driving a private hire taxi in Hull for 10 years, spent hundreds of hours on message boards and online forums discussing plot twists and guessing the identity of who was behind the cabal of corrupt cops working for OCG ( Organised Crime Groups).

But when he learned that the mysterious H was the blundering Det. Supt. Ian Buckells he was LIVID.

And the only way he could find to calm down was to smoke some heroin, or “H” as it’s known in drug circles.

Now, in a bid to shame him out of addiction, his wife Sarah, 39, has released this incredible picture of James ( above) to show the effects of investing too much time and energy into a made- up TV show.

“And the danger of smoking “smack.”

SPOILER ALERT: Det. Supt. Ian Buckells was unmasked as the mysterious ‘ H’ character in finale

Sarah told Sunday Sport: “James got in way too deep with Line of Duty.

“It was all he would talk about these last nine years.

“And he was so angry and disappointed with the ending, and the unmasking of H, that he started losing it.

“He didn’t sleep for two days solid and was pacing up and down the lounge.

“I really don’t know what happened next but suddenly he was very calm and the room smelled of vinegar.

“Eventually he admitted smoking heroin to calm him

HIT SERIES: Stars of down after his ‘ trauma’.

“He said someone on one of the forums he uses had recommended it.

“It’s true, it did keep him calm at first, but now he’s more obsessed with heroin than he was with Line of Duty.

“I just want my husband back. Before all this started he was fun and always full of adventure now he’s full of smack.

“If it’s not one ruddy H he’s addicted to, it’s another.”
