Fuel- ish Yanks told not to bag it

DUMB Yanks are being warned not to store petrol in PLASTIC BAGS during a fuel shortage crippling parts of the USA.

In a series of tweets, their Consumer Product Safety Commission issued stark safety instructions amid widespread reports of fuel hoarding that the White House has tried to discourage.

The CPSC said: “Do not fill plastic bags with gasoline. Use containers approved for fuel.”

It also informed dim Americans that pouring petrol near a naked flame is hazardous.

The warnings come as petrol ran out across the US following a computer hack of the giant Colonial Pipeline, which halted deliveries and led to panic- buying.

The pipeline is now up and running again.
