Skeleton found in house clearance

COPS were called when two people discovered human skeletal remains while cleaning out their father’s old home after his death.

State Police confirmed 82- year- old Douglas Scott died of coronavirus earlier this year.

His grown- up children were sorting through his property at his home in Casco, near Portland, Maine, when they came across the remains in an outbuilding.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner then began an examination of the remains and extra testing will take place over the coming weeks.

The identity of the person whose remains were found is unclear.

Maine State Police are still investigating the circumstances around the grisly discovery.
