WHEN Boris Johnson was spotted at his easel painting the view from his £ 25- a- week Marbella villa, most assumed he was channelling his hero Winston Churchill.

For the wartime PM, of whom Boris has written a widely- panned biography, was also a talented amateur artist.

But Bojo was NOT in Churchillian mode, we can reveal.

He was in the DOGHOUSE. Insiders say Mr Johnson had been banished to the veranda by furious wife Carrie after she overheard him make a VERY naughty quip.

A Downing Street staffer said: “The PM was looking forward to the holiday, as it gave him a chance to get away from the chaos and mayhem in Britain for a few days.

“As soon as he got to the villa, he ran upstairs and changed into his swimmers like an excited schoolboy.

“First he asked Carrie for money for an ice cream, then he said he wanted to go on a pedalo and to the water park.

“Carrie told him she would take him to the beach once he had finished government work in his red ministerial boxes.

“He grinned like an idiot and as he passed a minder he muttered ‘ Ah, the beach… and then for some nice topless Spanish pussy, what, what?’

“Unfortunately, Carrie overheard and yelled ‘ Boris Johnson! Come here this minute! I know what you said and it is VERY naughty!’

“Carrie made him go the veranda with his paints to “think about his attitude”.

The PM and his family travelled to the Spanish villa owned by his moneybags pal Zac Goldsmith, to the delight of his critics who accused the PM of abandoning his post at the height of a national crisis.

Our source said: “This is the proof that when it comes to the Boris and Carrie relationship, it’s Carrie who wears the trousers.”
