Kev on the sidelines for big PSG showdown

-

KEVIN De Bruyne will miss two more big Manchester City games after testing positive for COVID.

The Belgian was forced to miss the clash with Everton.

And he will still be isolating when City face French giants Paris St Germain in the Champions League.

He will also be missing when West Ham are visiting the Etihad next weekend.

De Bruyne will then have to prove his fitness before a run of games against Aston Villa, Watford, Red

Bull Leipzig, Wolves and Leeds before the Christmas madness kicks in.

Boss Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he won’t be rushing the Belgian back.

He said: “Forget about fitness and momentum, he’s positive, now he has to recover.

“We have to be careful, people are dying from COVID.

He’s vaccinated so hopefully he will be okay.”

Guardiola isn’t being so patient when it comes to one of his other players.

He was visibily angry when reporters asked him about Raheem Sterling’s future at the club.

Barcelona are known to be interested in signing the England forward who could even end up back at former team Liverpool.

Guardiola barked: “Don’t ask me from now on until the last day of the window about transfers because I’m not going to answer.

“It is not my business and it is not our business – Raheem’s either.

“I’m not going to answer any questions about what is going to happen in the future because I don’t know. And I am not concerned for one second.”

Sterling has 18 months left on his deal with City and is showing no signs of agreeing a new one.

The 26- year- old has been in and out of the team this season which has led to the speculation about his future.

Reports in Europe suggest Sterling will leave this summer.
