THE creator of smash hit TV comedy has teased the show could make a sensational comeback.

Benidorm

Derren Litten, 53, wrote the hugely popular programme that ran for 10 series on ITV, ending in May 2018.

In a Twitter statement, Derren hinted that the show – which starred the likes of Tim Healy, Steve Pemberton and Siobhan Finneran – could return.

Cheering

But Derren will have to work hard to out- Benidorm the REAL Benidorm.

Because, as one video posted over the New Year shows, the place is WILD!

Thousands were gripped when a video of a topless woman dancing on the streets of the Spanish resort hit social media.

In the clip, the woman – wearing only red pants and sand shoes –

REAL- LIFE: Hit dancer more outrageous than show’s characters, such as Tim Healy’s ( below) dances wildly to trance music while a cheering crowd applaud.

It was shared by thousands, Benidorm’s famous bars catering for Brit expats and holidaymakers.

That is the crowd that Derren made famous in his hit show.

And it appears telly is back in his sights. The writer – who starred in a number of Benidorm episodes – took to Twitter to speculate on further episodes.

He wrote: “It’s been a difficult decision but I’ve decided to return back to writing for both television and theatre.”

Derren added: “There are always rumours about such announcements but I would like to make it clear my decision to come out of retirement is purely to spend less time with my family.”
