Hilton sued over guest’s hotel porn blackmail

A WOMAN is suing Hilton Hotels claiming she was filmed naked in the shower by a hidden camera and had the footage uploaded onto a porn site with her actual name on it.

The unnamed lady sued the hotel giant for negligence, citing “severe and permanent psychological injuries, severe mental anguish, emotional distress and other damages” such as medical expenses and loss of earnings.

The woman was a guest at a Hampton Inn and Suites hotel in Albany, New York state, in July 2015, when she was recorded.

But she was unaware of the recording until September this year when she received an email saying: “This is you right?” with a link to the video online.

The same person, claiming “I’m a perv,” sent the woman several threatening emails, claiming to know where she went to university and where she worked and sent colleagues, friends and former classmates a copy of the video, sent from a fake email address set up in her name.

The blackmailer then demanded cash.

A spokesperson for the Hampton Inn said they were “shocked to learn of the allegations”, and are working with authorities to find the perpetrator.
