It’s a 10 for West End against Windscale

-

SUNDERLAND West End hit Windscale for 10 without reply on home turf.

Bryan Norton and Mark Robinson both collected the match ball for their respective hat-tricks.

The home side were 4-0 up within the first 25 minutes.

Kevin Gordon scored after five minutes.

Eleven minutes later, West End went two in front when Norton opened his account for the afternoon.

Adam Dryza then made it 3-0 when he scored in the 23 minute.

And Windscale had barely any time to catch their breath as Robert Hall scored in the same minute.

If the visitors thought their opponents were going to ease off them for the second-half, Norton’s second just after the restart confirmed that as wishful thinking.

Robinson then grabbed his first in the 47th minute before Norton completed his treble, four minutes later.

The West End striker then matched Norton’s goal scoring tally with two goals in two minutes.

James Fairly then added a 10th for the hosts, 10 minutes from time.

Hebburn Town Reserves missed the chance to close the gap to two points over leaders Cleator Moor Celtic.

The Hornets fell to a 2-1 defeat at Darlington Reserves, who won for the first time since beating Windscale 5-3 on September 14.

Darlington led at the break before Hebburn responded.

But the seventh-placed side went on to grab the winner when Dale Milburn struck late.

A goal in either from Jamie Tumity Hartlepool saw them move into ninth with a 2-0 victory at Prudhoe Town.

Tumity broke the deadlock midway through the secondhalf when good work from Mike Snowdon set up the attacker.

He then doubled his tally in the second-half when Kieran Campbell aimed an eye-ofthe-needle pass through to Tumity, who rounded the keeper before shooting into an empty net.

Boldon CA cemented their fifth place position with a 4-2 away win at South Shields Reserves.

Gateshead Leam Rangers moved ahead of the Mariners into 13th place.

It was a 3-1 win for Leam Rangers, who as a result made it three consecutive wins in all competitions.
