Man, 54, in hospital after attack
DETECTIVES are investigating a “targeted attack” in Stockton after a man was stabbed.
The 54-year-old man is in a critical condition in James Cook University Hospital after he was attacked in the Mill Lane area of the town. Police were called to Burgess Street at around 8.40pm on Friday night, where forensics officers could be seen erecting a tent outside an address. Neighbours said there was activity in the street until the early hours of yesterday.
In a statement, Cleveland Police said: “Investigations are at an early stage, however detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, including looking at CCTV and conducting house-tohouse enquiries.”

When the girl told him she never wanted to see him again, he threatened that he had taken intimate photographs of her, which he would publish online.
After the attack in 2002, the victim was too afraid to report what had happened to the police.
