Victim’s family tell court of

SNATCHED from them aged just 25, Ryan Thompson’s family say he was lovable and kind – and his mum simply “adored him”.

But bare-chested and drunk, his former schoolmate Richard Lee murdered him in a row over a bike.

That fatal blow robbed his girlfriend of the man she loved, and Ryan’s parents of “the centre of their world”.

As he was jailed for life, his killer was forced to hear how Ryan’s mum regretted that she wasn’t there to protect her boy she called “my world, my life – my heartbreak”.

But since the tragic incident in the early hours of September 1 last year, life has been a “struggle” for Ryan’s loved ones.

His parents’ 30th wedding anniversar­y and Christmas all passed while they mourned his death.
