She follows me like a dog, she trusts me.

“I would be heartbroken could not ride her again.

“We have been together for 11 years and I just love her.”

Paige joined Slimming World in November and changed her eating habits and started cooking the healthy way.

She has now lost almost two stones but still has more to go.

She has also dropped from a dress size 14 to a size 10.

Paige, who is studying a degree in children and young people at Newcastle College, added: “I have not ridden Dream since October and I said I would start riding her when I lost two stones.

“I am nearly there now and I cannot wait to get back on her.

“My goal is to lose three stones and get down to nine-and-a-half if I stones. I am doing this for the both of us.

“We are inseparable so she has given me the incentive.”

Paige was given Dream on her 10th birthday and her pet became her best friend.

She said: “I was cooking everything in oil and buying shop ready sauces. I was eating cheese and chocolate, I have a big sweet tooth.

“Then at the weekends I was drinking up to 10 Malibu and cokes. Now that has all stopped.

“I still eat everything I like but I cook the Slimming World recipes.

“I still eat my favourite things, but just the healthy way.

“I still have cheese but less of it and chocolate is in small sizes and just for a treat.

“I only have a drink on special occasions now and it will be with diet coke.”
