BILLINGHAM Town put two consecutiv­e defeats behind them to maintain their twopoint lead at the top of Division Two.

A Daniel Flounders brace and a goal apiece from Matthew Robinson and Craig Hutchinson helped Town to a 4-1 win against Tow Law Town at Bedford Terrace.

Thornaby warmed up for their top-of-the-table clash with Town with a 2-0 win at West Allotment Celtic.

Redcar Athletic easily claimed their biggest win as a Northern League club as they put nine goals past Brandon United.

Adam Preston led the way with a hat-trick and Mccorie Carmichael grabbed a brace as the struggling visitors were hammered.
