Rapid testing: play your part
Around one in three people with coronavirus has no symptoms.
Rapid Covid-19 (lateral flow) tests are for people who aren’t showing symptoms. If you’re showing symptoms (a high temperature, a new continuous cough or change to your sense of smell or taste), order a PCR test.
Test twice a week, or every three or four days: it’s the best way to catch a case of Covid-19 at the point it becomes highly infectious.
If you test positive you should self-isolate immediately and visit nhs.uk/get-tested or call 119 to order a PCR test that will confirm the result.
If you test negative, you must still follow the Hands, Face, Space and Fresh Air rules to minimise the spread of Covid-19.
