Chester-le-street take the spoils in win over

CHESTER-LE-STREET relied on Matthew Cranston (40) and Robbie Dawson a rapid 59 from 46 balls, which got them to 237 all out at Eppleton, while Jack Mcbeth and Colin Mann each took three wickets. The hosts were all out for 103, with John Harrison claiming 3-20.

Burnmoor travelled to Burnopfiel­d and the home side batted first making 190-8, with John Oswell making 55 and Patrick Cooper 32 not out. In reply, the visitors struggled early on, until Paul

Craig hit 52, but Matthew Oswell claimed 3-38 and they were all out for 155.

Sacriston welcomed Felling and the visitors opener Joe Cracknell scored an excellent 134 from 150 balls, which included 13 fours and five sixes and Sean Dickson 67, as they put on 105 runs for the second wicket, with Alasdair Appleby adding 31, in a total of 288-9. Nathan Hall made 31 runs in reply, but they were all out for 142, as Paul Leonard returned figures of 4-32.

Washington travelled to Tynemouth and the home side’s Michael Jones scored a brilliant 105 from 114 balls and Muhammad added 40, in a third wicket stand of 79 runs, while Matthew Brown (30) and 37no from Dave Mansfield, took them to 263-6. Charlie Scott made 42, Thomas College (55no) and Ash Thorpe (50), put on 99 for the seventh wicket, as they finished on 202-6.

Whitburn were 16-4 at one stage, as South North’s Seam Tindale took a magnificen­t 6-18. Ross Richardson made 32 and Gareth Welsh 37, as they put on 56 for the fifth wicket, followed by

a rapid 68 score from Michael Bittleston­e, in a total of 183 all out. The champions strode to an eight-wicket victory, as Solomon Bell struck 53 not out and Michael Richardson 76.

Benwell Hill’s Kyle Coetzer made 124 from 110 balls as he and James Schofield (79) put on 188 runs, then Angus Guy made 46 from 39 balls in a total of 318-7. Hetton Lyons struggled as Max Williamson claimed (5-42), but Gary

Scott made 40 runs and Ben Whitehead 65, but they were all out for 170.
