Brandon stay top as they notch up grand total

IN Division One, Brandon remain top and undefeated, as they batted first at home to Littletown. Gordon Muchall hit a fine 97, alongside 76 from Chris Peareth, as they put on 123 runs for the second wicket, in huge total of 258-6, while Zaheer Shahbaz took 3-28.

The visitors started well, as Matthew Dench made and Jonathan Davis hit

38, but they were all out for 153, with Jamie Robson claiming an excellent 5-19 and Ryan Green 3-51.

South Shields had Muhammad Uzair Afaq to thank, as he made 46 runs, at home to Seaham Harbour. They eventually totalled 190-7, as Joshua Leslie hit 43 not out from 56 balls.

Seaham then had runs from Regan Pattison scoring 31, Niall Cowell 46 and Ryan Consitt 37, with Tharusha Fernando the pick of the bowling, as he claimed 3-21, but they managed to claim the win on 192-9, with just two balls to spare.

Durham City had George Pullinger (75) and a brilliant 144 from Callum Steel off 105 balls, which included 19 fours and four sixes, in a massive total of 295-7 at Boldon. The home side then lost early wickets, as Paul Moralee took 3-25 and never recovered, finishing on 106 all out.

Hylton were 22-4 early on at Ryhope as Liam Stores claimed three quick wickets, but Freddie Eltringham (42) and Matty Billyard (51) steadied the ship with a 97 run fifth wicket partnershi­p as they eventually scored 166-9.

Ryhope then batted reasonably well as Connor Pearson made 56, and the home side finished on 167-6, to claim the victory.

In Division Two, Boldon CA batted first at Murton and made 152 all out.

The home side then lost early wickets, as James Dance claimed 3-17 and

Slater with the ball 3-46 and although James Watson hit 28 not out, with his team finishing on 141 all out, the visitors hung on for an 11 run win and maintain their good start to the season.

Ushaw Moor batted first at home to Hunwick. Shahid Khan hit a fine 75, alongside Lewis Cook who made 50. Ushaw made a final total of 206-8, with Nick Dalton the pick of the bowlers claiming 4-33.

The visitors then had opener Chris Pratt make 41, but Ihsan Ulhaq then claimed an excellent 5-35, for their side to win by 82 runs.
