WHITLEY Bay continued their impressive start to Division One season with a 3-1 win at Crook Town.

An early goal from Bay midfielder Ben Richardson was cancelled out by a Craig Moody penalty, but Nicky Gray’s men took the points thanks to Sean Taylor and Scott Lowery goals.

Newton Aycliffe took the points as Liam Jarvie grabbed the only goal in their win at Thornaby and a Cole Kiernan brace earned Guisboroug­h Town a 2-1 home win against Penrith.

And an Isaac Walker equaliser earned Redcar Athletic a point in their home game against Pickering Town after Jamie Thornton put the visitors ahead in the first half.

Birtley Town continue to top Division Two after they eased to a 4-0 home win against Redcar Athletic.

An Ash Lavan hat-trick and a Danny Boyle goal inspired Billingham Synthonia to a 4-1 win at Jarrow and Alex Ramshaw got the only goal in Washington’s win at Willington.

Craig Fairley and Matthew Law netted as Prudhoe YC battled a 2-0 win at Ryton and Crawcrook Albion and Stuart Rose’s brace put Boro Rangers on their way to a 3-1 win against Newcastle University.

A late Daniel Landing penalty gave hosts Chester-le-street United a point against Easington Colliery, Bryan Norton netting in the first half.
