DIVISION TWO

BILLINGHAM Town are back on top of Division Two after they romped to a big home win against Washington.

The hosts were five ahead at the break thanks to a Jack Pounder brace and a goal apiece from Chris Wallace, Robbie Bird and Kyle Davis.

Bird and Davis went on to double their tallies in the second half and a Kyle Bell strike only added to a difficult away day for the Mechanics.

Bedlington Terriers moved into second place as they came out on top in a seven-goal affair with Easington Colliery.

Joe Thompson, Joe Richardson, Gilberto Chapim, Joe Ames and Matty Hayton all netted for the Terriers as they secured the points.

A Josh Morton own-goal and a Ben Henderson strike went without reward for their visitors.

Levi Collins was in inspirational form as the Boldon CA striker’s four-goal salvo lifted his side to a 5-2 home win against Billingham Synthonia.

Danny Earl and Chris Stockton netted for Synners but Collins’ haul and Daniel Wright gave David Crumbie’s men all three points.

Brandon United continued their remarkable run of form with a 4-0 win at Sunderland West End thanks to goals from Reece Brown, Glen Caygill, Scott Oldfield and Drew Lake.

Josh Home-jackson and David Doughty both scored twice and Jack Maskell also netted in Horden CW’S 5-1 home win against Prudhoe YC.

Craig Fairley netted a consolation for the visitors.

Jarrow fell to another defeat as Tom Romano and Tolu Osiyemi scored in Newcastle University’s 2-1 home win against Scott Oliver and Dave Bell’s side.

Callum Smith pulled a goal back for Jarrow but they were unable to find an equaliser in the final 20 minutes.

Willington’s struggles continued as goals from Carl Williams and Clark Reader gave Redcar Town a 2-0 win at Hall Lane.

Jay Roper and Joe Thompson scored either side of an equaliser from Cobi Jones in Ryton and Crawcrook Albion’s 2-1 win at Esh Winning.

Chester-le-street United were 2-1 winners at Blyth Town thanks to goals from Keellan Huddleston and Shodeinde Benjamin.
