A CHARITY set up in memory of Bradley Lowery has launched a talent competition to raise funds to support poorly children.

Bradley touched hearts around the world during his brave fight with the rare form of cancer neuroblastoma.

The youngster from Blackhall, County Durham, helped to raise global awareness of childhood cancer before he tragically died aged just six in 2017.

His legacy lives on through the Bradley Lowery Foundation, (BLF) a charity set up in August 2017 to support families who are fundraising for treatment or equipment which is not readily available or covered by the NHS.

And now the charity is getting set to hold its second talent competition, called BLF’S Got Talent, in a bid to raise funds to continue its vital work.

The foundation is calling on talented youngsters aged 16 or under to enter the competition in the hopes of singing, dancing, or joking their way into the finals.

Last year, the winner was 13-year-old

Alex White from County Durham, who wowed judges with a gymnastic display and took home a £100 prize.

Parents can send a one-minute video of their child performing which will face a public vote on social media.

The winners of each round of auditions will be determined by the number of “likes” their entry receives within a given period.

The overall winner will be decided by “likes” on individual posts once the heats have concluded.

Lynn Murphy, chief operating officer of The Bradley Lowery Foundation, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing back BLF’S Got Talent this year, after its huge success in 2021.

“Brad loved singing and dancing, and had a fantastic sense of humour, so honouring his memory by letting other kids share their talent with the world is very fitting.

“I can’t wait to see all the amazing entries we get this year. I’d give them all the golden buzzer if I could!”

To enter the competition, parents or guardians can send their child’s oneminute audition videos via Whatsapp to 0748 314 5310 by November 30.

Businesses who would like to sponsor the competition can email contact@ bradleyloweryfoundation.co.uk
