Marske’s magic act at Dynamo

-

MARSKE United remain firmly in the Evo-Stik NPL East promotion hunt after a dominant display gave them all three points at Loughborough Dynamo.

The Seasiders have eased into life at step four of the non-league pyramid and this was another impressive show to keep them in behind Morpeth Town at the top end of the table.

They took their time to get going but once they did they blew away their hosts.

The deadlock was broken just after the half-hour mark as influential midfielder Craig Gott calmly stroked home a penalty.

Three minutes later the lead was doubled thanks to a goal from centreback Adam Wheatley.

The two-goal lead remained place until just before the hour.

The impressive Callum Martin was the creator as his corner-kick found Josh Rowbotham and the defender made no mistake from close range.

There were 65 minutes on the clock when Matty Waters continued his fine in form by adding a fourth goal to end any thoughts of a comeback from the hosts.

The Seasiders continued to dominate possession in the closing stages without adding to their four-goal haul but can reflect on a job well done.

The three points keeps last season’s Northern League champions eight points behind Morpeth, although Carl Jarrett’s side do hold a game in hand over the Highwaymen.
