Pedestrian injured

A PEDESTRIAN has been seriously injured after being involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle at Catterick Garrison.

The man, in his 20s, was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after the early morning crash yesterday. The collision, which involved a white Renault HGV, happened on Leyburn Road between Camp Centre and Plumer Road at around 5.15am.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for any information that could assist the investigation.”
