Hunt for boiler theft burglars

CCTV of a man police would like to speak to BURGLARS made off with a boiler after breaking into a garage of a house near Washington.

Unknown offenders forced entry to the garage of a property on Firtree Avenue, Harraton, at around 8.15am on Wednesday, October 31.

They managed to flee the scene with a combi-boiler and other items. Northumbria Police has now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Enquiries are ongoing to locate those responsible, and police have now identified a man they would like to speak to in con- nection with the investigation.

“He is believed to have been in the area at the time and could assist officers with their enquiries.

“The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 787 021118 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
