Boro ‘beaten badly’
MIDDLESBROUGH boss Tony Pulis was not happy with his team as his side’s eight-match unbeaten run came to an end.
Boro were thumped 3-0 at the Riverside by promotion-chasing rivals Aston Villa, with James Chester, Tammy Abraham and Glenn Whelan all scoring.
Pulis said: “On the day we weren’t good enough, not bright enough.”
“We look at the league, and we look at today and we got beaten badly.”
He added: “They are disappointed with their performance today. We will dust ourselves down and we go again.”
